Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, known as a16z, is leading a funding round for Flock Safety, a surveillance startup specializing in license plate-reading cameras, valuing the company at approximately $7.5 billion. The round aims to raise about $250 million and supports Flock's technology, which is utilized in over 5,000 cities across the US. Founded in 2017, Flock Safety also provides data analysis and footage review services to businesses, schools, and law enforcement agencies.
